Without hope there is no future. Without a path there is no direction and without a light there is no perception of distance. GGEP is dedicated to encouraging hope, providing a path and shining a light on the needs of the Communities of Nismes, Bagotville and LaRetraite.

OUR MISSION

Our goal is to accommodate 500 students annually from these three communities. GGEP pursues the success of providing school supplies to increase school attendance, and reduce the attrition rates for all three public schools. GGEP understands that the needs go beyond the School gates and, therefore consideration of family is of great importance.

OUR PURPOSE

To augment or supplement the expenses parents and teachers would incur to get young children in schools to learn. More than 85% of these communities have little or no financial resources to prepare students for school. Many students are forced to begin the school term at the middle, well after the start date.

OUR SUCCESS

Greenlight Guyana has been very successful in its endeavors over the years. GGEP has had four students in its Scholarship Program, with all four graduating High School, two of whom are currently pursuing Doctoral Degrees. Hot lunches, Uniforms and the distribution of clothing have gone to help hundreds of people in the villages.

BE THE CHANGE

Great change doesn't come easily, it takes dedication, focus and collaboration. Since its inception in 2006 Greenlight Guyana has been steadfast in its Mission to make a difference to the children in the communities of Bagotville, Nismes and LaRetraite.

Much has been accomplished and much remains. It takes a village, and GGEP relies heavily on the contributions from people like you who understand that just thinking about it doesn't make it happen. As a "family" we can make the difference and we thank you for your continued support.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
